The Dream World is where Hat Kid is taken to when she enters a Blue Time Rift found in many over-world locations. These rifts appear to be set in a vast ocean, with crystallized-marble architecture, accompanied by ever-present silhouettes of giant, mysterious clock towers, and cookies.

Overview

As stated above, the Dream World takes place under a body of water, as evident by giant whales in the distance and the trail of bubbles that follow Hat Kid when she moves. Looking up, many light rays and bloom arches from the water's surface. Silhouettes of giant clock towers ominously stays in the background, seemingly extending forever into the abyss. In the horizon lies what seems to be high-rise architecture, forming a city around Hat Kid.

Blue Time Rifts are different to Purple Time Rifts as these levels focus more on platforming challenges for Hat Kid to complete than the story-driven sections of a Purple Time Rift.

Trivia

  • Inside both the B-Side soundtrack and the game files is a cut intro jingle for Blue Time Rifts named "Level Intro Time Rifts". Instead of this jingle playing, "Clocktowers Beneath The Sea" immediately starts at the beginning of each rift.
  • The Blue Time Rift levels bare a striking resemblance to the Super Mario Sunshine Secret Courses, some of the structures being the same.
    • This similarity may be explained by the fact that the game's creator, Jonas Kaerlev is a fan of the Mario franchise
