Main Station

Main Station is the first major location of Nyakuza Metro Hat Kid will encounter. It is the center of all activity within the Metro, and where The Empress, alongside her Jewelry store - Le Felin is located.
Kitty Cat Metro
Dropping into the metro, Hat Kid will be greeted with many cat-themed decoration, posters, and a cat roomba. Touching it, Hat Kid will be sent high up, getting to the first train platform. Here, a train track can be found, which upon approaching, a cutscene will play. Hat Kid ignores all the warnings, and peeks out onto the tracks. A Cat Train, coincidentally, will go over right at that moment, almost hitting Hat Kid. Thankfully, she reacted and rushed back, clapping for the cat afterwards. From here, Hat Kid will have to hop on top of the train to progress. After a brief platforming section to familiarize Hat Kid with the train mechanics, Hat Kid will hop on a final train to the Main Station.
Conflict!?
After the train ride, Hat Kid will enter a huge station with many neon lights, cats, and holographic train tracks. From here, immediately hop off the train, otherwise Hat Kid will faceplant into a sign.
The Timepiece can be seen shining nearby, being held by a Cat. Hat Kid will have to smack that thief in the face, and take back the Timepiece.
Just as she's about to leave however, two cats with masks will approach her, demanding her Timepiece, and that they "belong to the boss". Hat Kid, obviously, denies the command, and holds the Timepiece away from them.
However, The Empress appears, and takes the Timepiece from Hat Kid. She questions Hat Kid if she works for anyone. Though, not awaiting an answer, The Empress quickly declares that Hat Kid works for her, and that she can't have her disturbing her work in the metro. Flinching in fear, Hat Kid doesn't resist. Now she's a part of an underground gang.
Strategy
- Due to this being a tutorial-esque act, there's no particularly special strategies here. You should be able to get through this act with ease, if you've collected enough Timepieces to be at least somewhat familiar with platforming.
Music
- Nyakuza Metro - The main theme of Nyakuza Metro, an energizing, upbeat track that plays throughout the Main Station, and the Yellow Overpass Station.
- A synthwave variant of this track will play when Hat Kid is on top of a train, emphasizing the kinetic energy.
- The Empress - A fancy song, utilizing traditional japanese string as the primary instrument. It plays when Hat Kid is inside Le Felin.
Diary Entry
After each mission, Hat Kid will express her thoughts into her diary, which can be found inside her pillow fort.
"This place is busy, huh? There's cats travelling from all over the place! And... the trains are pulled by cats too? Weird."
"There was a timepiece here... but some big SCARY lady made me hand it over to her. What's her deal?? Why is she so mean???"
