The Twilight Bell

The Twilight Bell is one of the four mountain peaks in Alpine Skyline. It requires heavy use of the Dweller Mask, and features several new variants of creatures, including the Sleepy Raccoon and the Dweller Bells.

Twilight Dimension

Hat Kid will need to bring the Dweller Mask for this mission, as it relies heavily on its mechanics.

Arriving at the Twilight Path, many intangible dweller platforms can be seen, which Hat Kid will need to use either the Dweller Mask, or a Dweller Bell to get through. As she traverse the Twilight Path, the music will slowly quiet out, shifting to a different song entirely. Hat Kid will eventually find a zipline, leading directly to The Twilight Bell.

After arriving, she'll meet a nomad, expressing how they couldn't reach the bell. Hat Kid can use her Hookshot to hook onto the bell, and ring it. The evironment surrounding her will start phasing, eventually being covered by black mass. After Hat Kid stops ringing, an entire new dimension will appear right infront of her, with marble architecture and symbolism of the Mountain Goats.

This dimension features many intangible objects, as well as many Dweller Bells that would either support, or inconvenience Hat Kid's traversal.

After many platforming sequences, Hat Kid will eventually reach a horn, which she can blow to make a zipline appear on a far away platform. Using the zipline, Hat Kid will reach the highest top of the dimension, with an intangible staircase ahead. She'll have to use the Dweller Bell right beside, and climb it to grab the Timepiece.

Collectibles

The Windmill is an act belonging to the chapter Alpine Skyline. Due to its nature of being a vast, open world, many items can be found all around. A list of every available collectibles up on Alpine Skyline can be found here

Strategy

  • Combining both tangible and intangible dweller objects, this mission is sure as heck a challenge to anyone on their first times. Many sequences rely heavily on one's hand-eye coordination, as well as understanding of the Dweller Mask.
    • With this in mind, it'd be smart if you try to finish a lot of Subcon Forest's Dweller platforming sequences first. Many of them are available through the form of a collectible, so make sure to check out the page for it.
  • Because the mission relies on a hat's ability, the fast hatter badge is a no-brainer. Hat Kid can buy it from the Badge Seller at the start of the level, where the bell was.

Music

  • The Twilight Bell Peak - The primary theme when Hat Kid traverse through the mysterious, ghostly dimension.

Diary Entry

After each mission, Hat Kid will express her thoughts into her diary, which can be found inside her pillow fort.

"I think I saw some ghosts today? Goat ghosts?"

"I don't know where that bell took me, but it certainly wasn't somewhere I was supposed to be."
